The Victorian Legislative Council is beginning an inquiry shortly regarding matters relating to EV recharging infrastructure and the potential of V2G in the energy network. It will report to Parliament in March 2026.
FCAI has made contributions to inquiries regarding waste management in Queensland and EV infrastructure for NSW. Engagement is continuing with NSW Government and industry partners regarding NSW Motor Dealers and Repairers Regulation with a focus on OEM training and management of battery repairs.
Discussions have taken place between FCAI and the Western Australian Government Department of Transport regarding the outlook for port operations for motors vehicles in WA. During recent years, there have been studies undertaken and some discussion regarding Fremantle dock and the possibility of a re-location to Bunbury. The Government has confirmed that there are no plans to make changes to Fremantle operations in the foreseeable future.
