The Queensland Government is expected to accept all 28 recommendations of a parliamentary inquiry into e-mobility safety and use in Queensland. The inquiry focused on specific areas of rider safety, health and welfare, emergency services and police powers to address illegal behaviour, and the FCAI supports this direction.
Recommendation 12 addressed the classification of these devices and the potential illegal (overpowered) variants to be listed as motorcycles. Recommendation 13 addressed licensing issues.
