The Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, Sport and the Arts is consulting on a suite of NVES Rules to sit under the New Vehicle Standards Act 2024.
These proposed rules provide operational detail on the administration of the NVES Registry, including account eligibility, account management, credit identification and publication of additional information. The rules will shape how credits are issued, transferred and disclosed, with potential implications for compliance administration and commercial strategy.
The FCAI is working closely with members to prepare a response to the exposure draft.
