Motorcycle and Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) sales remained steady in the first half of 2025, according to data released today by the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries.
A total of 42,549 units were sold between January and June, unchanged from the same period last year. Yamaha was the top-selling brand, followed by Honda, Kawasaki and KTM.
Sales by segment were as follows:
- Off-road motorcycles (ORB): 16,807 units (up 3.3 per cent)
- Road bikes: 16,254 units (down 1.9 per cent)
- Off-Highway Vehicles (OHV): 6,765 units (down 5.5 per cent)
- Scooters: 2,723 units (up 6.8 per cent)
FCAI chief executive Tony Weber the overall market is holding firm.
“While we’ve seen some movement within individual segments, there remains strong competition and a wide range of products available to consumers,” Mr Weber said.
“Growth in the off-road and scooter categories suggests evolving trends in both recreation and urban transport. As always, the industry remains focused on safety, innovation and rider engagement across all segments.”
