Sydney Motorcycle and Scooter Show

The 2011 Sydney Motorcycle and Scooter Show was held at the Sydney Exhibition and Convention Centre, Darling Harbour from November 25th to 27th.

Attendance over the three day event was just under 26,000 (or 23% up on 2009) with visitors making their way through the inclement weather outdoors, into a spectacular and diverse show.

During the breaks in the rain, passers by were treated to spectacular displays of riding in the outdoor Action Arena which no doubt encouraged them to visit the show indoors.

The Show was opened by the Chief Executive Officer of the FCAI, Ian Chalmers who commented that “the motorcycling lifestyle is a diverse one, enthusiasts truly are spoilt for choice, there is something at this show for every age and every budget.”

He went on to say that “at the Sydney Motorcycle Show, we aim to bring the latest and greatest in this industry to these enthusiasts.” This was reflected in the many “brand new release” and unique motorcycles on display throughout the show.

Many exhibitors reported positive responses and there was a focus by the organisers to create a visually appealing and visitor-friendly lay out, with plenty of action both indoors and out.

The support of every major motorcycle manufacturer and the presence of an extensive range of exhibitors showcasing a range of related products and services were again crucial to the success of the event.
